Our consultation helps clarify your charger options, installation needs, and the questions to ask.

Comprehensive scope and explanation
For projects that need additional planning, electrical work, or a different installation route.
Tiers 1 and 2 include a load and capacity evaluation, standard compatible breaker, wiring and conduit materials, charger mounting and hardwiring, standard permit and inspection coordination, testing, setup, a walkthrough, and cleanup. Charging up to 48 amps depends on verified capacity and charger specifications. Tier 2 adds the exterior materials and wall penetration described above. Tier 3 receives a written scope tailored to the project.
Simple straight-through installations may qualify for the lower $1,895 package after review, even with an exterior panel. Masonry coring, trenching, concealed routes, panel or service upgrades, and load management receive a Tier 3 custom quote.
Installation pricing excludes the charger itself. You can supply a compatible, listed charger, or ask us for guidance before buying one.
A challenging layout should never stop you from reaching out. We welcome complex installations and help you explore a practical solution with Day Electric or a vetted local partner.
A comprehensive written quote and a clear explanation of the proposed work are available after assessment. Your installer explains the route, required electrical improvements, materials, permits, pricing, and any exclusions, so you understand what is needed and why before approving the work.
The $1,895 and $2,195 packages apply to qualifying single-family homes, whether installed by Day Electric or a vetted HomeCharge Connect partner. Your written proposal confirms eligibility, the complete scope, applicable taxes, and any additional work before installation. Unusual permit requirements or extra visits caused by work outside the package are quoted separately. Our vetted partners honor the same advertised package pricing. Custom installation pricing is confirmed through HomeCharge Connect in a comprehensive written quote. Start with a free introductory consultation; any paid site assessment is agreed to in advance. Requesting a consultation does not book installation or take payment.

Guidance is preliminary, not a site inspection, electrical design, or installation quote. Your installing contractor verifies capacity, code requirements, pricing, and permits.
A few details now. A more useful conversation later.
HomeCharge Connect is an EV charging consultation and matching service operated by Day Electric. We bring hands-on electrical expertise to the process of finding an installer for your home.
We consider your location, charging setup, project requirements, and installer availability to identify a suitable match. That may be Day Electric or one of our vetted local partners.
A clear relationship, from the start. HomeCharge Connect is part of Day Electric. We identify the recommended installer before you commit, whether it is Day Electric or a separate partner business. HomeCharge Connect confirms your pricing and written scope with your chosen installer. The installer performs the work and receives payment directly.
For qualifying HomeCharge Connect projects, it includes the standard garage circuit and installation materials, up to 50 feet of accessible surface routing, charger mounting and hardwiring, a capacity evaluation, standard permit and inspection coordination, testing, and setup. You supply the charger. We verify eligibility and provide a written proposal before work begins.
Our $2,195 Exterior Panel Installation package covers qualifying panels directly outside an attached garage, up to 50 feet of total accessible surface routing, and one ordinary wood-framed wall penetration with sealing and weather-rated materials. It includes the same capacity evaluation, standard permit and inspection coordination, testing, and setup as Tier 1. You supply the charger. We confirm eligibility and a written proposal before work. Simple straight-through installations may qualify for the lower $1,895 package after review; more involved work receives a comprehensive custom quote.
Yes. No installation is too complex to discuss. From detached garages and trenching to service upgrades or challenging wiring routes, we welcome your project. After assessment, your installer provides a comprehensive quote and explains the proposed work, available options, costs, and any limitations before you decide.
Yes. The introductory 15-minute conversation is free and there’s no obligation to book installation. Any deeper paid assessment would be discussed and agreed to separately.
No. Bring your questions and any models you’re considering. We can discuss how charger options fit your vehicle and routine.
Not necessarily. Capacity, existing loads, charging needs, and possible load-management options need to be evaluated. Photos help start the discussion but don’t replace an on-site assessment.
The project inquiry form does not book an appointment; we follow up to arrange a time. To reserve a phone consultation directly, use “Schedule a Phone Consultation” and complete your booking on our Google Calendar page.
